February 21, 2007 – 1:00 am

Another one bites the dust. DoylesRoom.com, the largest poker room on the Doyle Brunson Poker Network (DBPN), has announced that U.S. players are no longer welcome on the site. A spokesperson for DBPN management said in a release, “In view of the passage of the Unlawful Internet Gaming Enforcement Act and the cessation of operations by NETeller and other payment processors, the management of the Doyle Brunson Poker Network has reluctantly decided not to permit online real-money play by U.S.-based players at DoylesRoom.com,” .

Effective immediately, U.S. players are no longer permitted to sign up for real-money play or deposit funds into existing accounts. Beginning March 1, all U.S. play on DoylesRoom.com will be blocked, though players will still be able to withdraw funds from their accounts.
